One week has come and gone. Sunday I did the weigh in and was pleasantly surprised that I had lost 7 pounds. I feel great. I am journaling my food choices daily which has been a great tool.
I weigh and measure foods and have learned that a big part of my problem was portion control.
I use a small plate for meals and chew slowly and make the meal last as long as possible. Sunday was a challenge. Was away from home for the day and had to eat differently at a pot luck. I had planned on the turkey for the meal choice. I sampled each thing in a small portion and was satisfied with that. I did pass on the cake, bars and rolls. I was so proud of myself!!!! I find that I am needing to order some "legal" chips to satisfy the crunch-appeal. So far pickles have been doing the trick. I can hardly wait to lose more weight and have people start noticing. Yes, this is the right way to lose weight for me.
